Privacy Policy

StrideCo ("StrideCo", "we", "us") is a trading name of Charles Smith, a UK sole trader. This policy explains what personal data we collect through strideco.agency, why, who we share it with, and how you can control it.

1. Who we are

Data controller: Charles Smith, trading as StrideCo.

2. What we collect

"Book a call" form: the name, work email address and event/company details you provide, plus the service you say you're interested in.
Free retention calculator: the numbers you enter (attendee count, return-rate estimate, ticket price) are used to calculate your result in your browser. If you choose to have your result emailed to you, we collect your email address and store the numbers you entered and your calculated breakdown alongside it, so we can send it to you and understand what you were looking at.
Analytics data, only if you accept cookies: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type and approximate location. Through Microsoft Clarity this also includes session replays and heatmaps that show how you move around and interact with pages. Clarity is set to strict masking, so all text in these recordings, including anything you type into forms, is hidden from us.
Technical data, whether or not you accept cookies: when you load a page, your IP address and browser details are received by our hosting provider (GitHub) and by MailerLite, whose form is loaded as part of our pages. This is needed to deliver the page and the form.
Emails you send us: handled through Google Workspace.

We don't ask for or knowingly collect any other personal data through this site.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, none are set and you can still browse the site normally. We don't sell data collected this way.

Durations are the maximum set by Google and Microsoft and may change. Clarity may also set identifiers on Microsoft's own domains.

You can change your mind at any time: Cookie settings clears your choice and any analytics cookies and asks you again.

5. Who we share data with

We share data with the service providers who help us run this site and respond to enquiries:

MailerLite: form submissions and email communications. Its form script also loads when you open a page, which is why it receives your IP address at that point.
Google: Analytics 4 (only with your consent) and Google Workspace (our email).
Microsoft: Clarity (only with your consent).
GitHub: hosts the website and receives standard server logs.
Cloudflare: our domain name (DNS) provider.

We don't sell your data to anyone. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK-US data bridge for certified providers or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries: as long as needed to respond to you and, if we start working together, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.
Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a minimal record so we don't email you again.
Analytics and session replays: for a limited period set in the retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
Server logs: according to our hosting provider's own retention.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 8).

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (using the unsubscribe link, or Cookie settings above). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@strideco.agency.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
